Period style HID light poles will replace the cobra head roadway luminaires currently mounted on the utility poles. The smaller scale will provide more of a pedestrian feel and improve illumination of the sidewalks. The pole spacing and distribution will provide roadway illumination as well. The luminaires shall be a cut-off type to eliminate light trespass and the style would be compatible with Lincoln Park’s period pole and lantern.

Existing trees will be uplit with ground mounted luminaires, two per tree grate is suggested. A narrow beam is recommended to prevent extraneous glare and minimize sky glow. Decorative strings of ornamental lamps may wrap the more mature trees along the residential sidewalks.

This concept is the result of a collaboration between Tec, 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas, and Tremont West Development Corporation.
