The Hudson Library recently opened a new 2-story, 52,000 square foot facility. Tec Inc. completed the Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Technology and Lighting Design for this project.

The building program features an energy efficient, lighting design utilizing a variety of fixtures that enhance the architectural features and provide excellent visual comfort. The lighting controls for this facility are completely automated. Several areas take advantage of daylighting with daylight sensors controlling daytime illumination. Lighting was designed with visual tasks, building finishes, and character of the spaces in mind. Stacks are illuminated uniformly on the horizontal and vertical planes using a design standard developed by Tec.
