The 25th Anniversary of the "First Flight of Tsunami" (August 17, 1986) will be August 17, 2010. For this monumental anniversary, we would like to know that Tsunami is on the way to flyable condition. This will take time, effort and money to put the project together.
With your help, we would like to rebuild Tsunami to flyable condition. John Sandberg did engines for almost every major museum in the world. He donated almost every engine used for the EAA Warbirds of America; plus the engine for the Spirit of St. Louis. He put together the complete maintenance engine programs for the CAF aircrafts, etc. Because of this, Our intention is to put the plane on tour for a couple of years to various airplane museums and then to find a permanent home for it to be on display.
To restore Tsunami to her original flyable condition, we need YOUR help.
We estimate it will take $600,000. To do this, we need everyone on board. If you can donate $20, that will be great. If you can donate $1000, this is wonderful. Every penny counts to help restore this legend to the skies.
We will even consider your cars/aircrafts/boats for a donation.
We have partnered up with a local non-profit organization "Flight Expo, Inc" (tax id# 501C3 #41-1869452) which is a 501C3 company. You can contact us at Flight Expo, Inc via email at flightexpoinc@aol.com.
